Aged & Distressed Texture Set + Example

Aged & Distressed Texture Set contains eight large rustic textures which are meant to give your images an assortment of rustic effects.  Just apply one or more textures and try various layer modes and opacity levels to discover various effects. As always, I hope this set can be of some use, and have fun tinkering.





Old and aged painting effect using three of the textures in the Aged & Distressed Texture Set zipped set.

 Step 1: Opened the flower Pot photo "shown above" which automatically becomes the background layer.

Step 2: Opened and added "Vintage 4" texture results shown above, which becomes layer one, then set the layer mode to "Soft Light" and the "Opacity" set at 100%.

Step 3: Opened and added "Whatadifference-7" texture results shown above, which becomes layer 2, then set the layer mode to "Soft Light" and the "Opacity" set at 100%

Step 4: Opened and added "Vintage 1" texture results shown above, which becomes layer 3, then set the layer mode to "Soft Light" and the "Opacity" set at 100%

Step 5: Satisfied with my results shown above, all I need to do now is flatten the layers and save as.

Subtle Type Thang Texture Set contains nine textures, each measures 3000 X 2000 pixels in size and the set contains various colors.  Have fun!

You'd Be Surprised texture

You'd Be Surprised texture: At first glance the texture "Posted On The Bottom" is dark, grungy and down right ugly. Don't let the darkness fool you, it has a wonderful ability to
bring out and enhance contrast and details in images if used right. Two examples below show the before and after effects by just selecting a supporting layer mode within Photoshop.

TeaTime: "Pictured Above" I applied the "You'd Be Surprised texture,then set the "Layer Mode" to "Overlay" and the opacity at at 100%.


Bubbles: "Pictured Below" I applied the "You'd Be Surprised texture,then set the "Layer Mode" to "Soft Light" and the opacity at at 100%.
